Who we are

Meijer Movements (“MM”) is a company that provides moving- and transportation services and has its registered office in Purmerend and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 69978018.

As a controller, we respect your right to privacy. We will only process personal data that you provide to us in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and as described in this policy. The personal information we collect about you

 

We collect personal information about you (such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, payment information) when you register for or participate in one of our services such as requesting a call back, requesting a quote or reserving a storage space. We use your personal information to contact you for reasons related to the service you have subscribed to or to provide information you have requested. We also use your personal information to arrange payment for our services and to respond to your online requests.

 

We engage service providers to carry out our services. These are not 'third recipients', but processors. For example, we work together with an email service provider and a hosting provider. These parties process personal data in accordance with the instructions of MM. We will not sell, rent or otherwise provide your personal information to third parties except as stated in this policy.

 

What are your rights?

As a data subject you have the following rights:

1. a) the right to access the personal data we hold about you;
2. b) the right to ask us to update or correct any outdated or inaccurate personal information we hold about you;
3. c) where the processing is only possible with your consent, the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent before you withdrew it;
4. d) the right to have your personal data erased if the conditions of Article 17 of the GDPR are met;
5. e) the right to restriction of processing if the conditions of Article 18 of the GDPR are met;
6. f) the right to data portability, insofar as the conditions of Article 20 of the GDPR apply to you;
7. g) the right to object to the processing of personal data concerning you, provided the conditions of Article 21 of the GDPR are met;
8. h) the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; and
9. i) the right to unsubscribe from any direct marketing communications that we may send (with your consent).

Retention periods

We do not store personal data longer than necessary. The retention period is related to the purpose for which the data was obtained and any legal obligations.

 

Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data you provide to us against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental destruction or damage and loss. While we make reasonable efforts to keep your personal information secure, you acknowledge that using the Internet is not entirely secure. For this reason, we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal data sent from or to you over the internet.
